others与other的用法（英语语法）

今天要分享的是英语语法“other, others, the other, the others 的使用区别 ”

英语语法——“other, others, the other, the others”

other ：其他的，另外的

① other:作为形容词;表示“其他的，另外的”，后面加“名词”

例子:

⑴ other people

⑵ other information

⑶ We learn Chinese, English, Math and other subjects.

① other:作为形容词;表示“其他的，另外的”，后面加“名词”

others：剩余的另一些

① others:表示“剩余的另一些”，没有明确的范围，常用结构式为: some ... others ...，表示“一些...另一些...”

例子:

⑴Some students are doing homework, but others are talking.

⑵ Many people are in the park. Some are singing, others are dancing.

⑶ We learn Chinese, English, Math and others.

others：剩余的另一些

the other: 另一个

① the other：特指两个中的另一个，后面加“名词”，表示两个中“一个... 另一个... ”，常用结构式：one ... the other ...

例子:

⑴He has two brothers, one is a teacher, the other is a doctor.

⑵ One flower is red, the other is white.

⑶I have two dresses. One is red, the other is yellow.

the other: 另一个

the others:某一范围内的“其他的”

① the others：特指一定范围内其余的全部人或事

例子:

⑴I have six pencils. One is long, the others are short.

⑵There are 48 students. Some work hard, but the others don't.

⑶ There are 40 kids. Fifteen are girls, the others are boys.

the others：特指一定范围内其余的全部人或事

总结:

① other: 其他的，另外的

② others: 剩余的另一些

③ the other: 另一个

④ the others 某一范围内的“其他的”

注意事项:

① other 复数名词=others

例子:

⑴ other subjects = others

⑵ other information = others

⑶ other people = others

① other 复数名词=others

② the other 复数名词 = the others

例子:

⑴ the other people = the others

⑵ the other money = the others

⑶ the other students = the others

② the other 复数名词 = the others

③“some... others ...”，表示“一些.....另一些.....”，这里的另一些不是指剩余的全部，也就是说除了这一些，另一些，可能还有剩余的

例子:

⑴ There are many students in my class. Some like singing, and others like dancing.

在我们班里有许多学生，一些喜欢唱歌，另一些喜欢跳舞。

(除了唱歌跳舞，可能还有喜欢别的，但是没有说)

③“some... others ...”，表示“一些.....另一些.....”

④ some ... the others ..."指的是“一些...其余的...”,这里的the others 指的是其余的全部

例子:

⑴ There are 50 students in my class. Some are girls, the others are boys.

我们班里有50名学生，一些是女孩，另一些全都是男生。

(其余的全部都是男孩)。

④ some ... the others ..."指的是“一些...其余的...”
